Environmental Stewardship

Morley is committed to operating our business with integrity, caring for our communities and respecting our environment. Through our sustainability efforts, we endeavor to be a responsible corporate steward of the environment and, as appropriate, engage our clients, our company and our family of associates in eco-friendly practices.

Based on your project's scope of work, we can help you to support your sustainability goals by integrating greener practices into your events. We stay ahead of this rapidly changing part of our business by constantly monitoring trends and engaging with organizations that encourage the application of green practices to waste management, resource and energy use, travel and local transportation, food provision and disposal, site selections, and management and purchasing decisions.

As we work together to plan an event, we can provide timely ideas that minimize the impact that travel events can have on the environment, while maintaining the quality of event you want your participants to experience.

Eco-Strategies

Here are just a few examples of how we can help you maximize eco-consciousness:

  • Recommend venues that participate in environmental initiatives, such as the use of low-energy light bulbs, low-flow bathroom facilities, energy-efficient windows, eco-friendly cleaning products, organic meats and produce and other practices
  • Utilize paperless solutions such as online registration, electronic rendering and CAD layouts and downloads of conference details to CD or flash drive, eliminating the need for bulky event binders
  • Print your collateral materials using soy-based inks on 100% post-consumer recycled paper
  • Use name badges made out of recycled or biodegradable materials along with lanyards made from recycled soft drink bottles
  • Provide mugs and reusable water bottles instead of disposable containers, and conserve water by not pre-filling glasses before food and beverage eventsv
  • Supply secure, scalable, on-site paper recycling services with custom labeled boxes that fit the needs of your program, as well as custom "tech trash" recycling receptacles for items like CDs, diskettes, DVDs, ink cartridges and videotapes
  • Work with food and beverage resources to provide products that are organic, free-range, ecologically harvested and obtained from within 100 miles
  • Donate leftovers from food and beverage events to local organizations such as Hidden Harvest
  • Compost any food waste

Initiatives like these are an effective way to demonstrate your commitment to the environment, yet they are cost effective and very easy to execute and manage. If desired, we will work with you to develop a comprehensive approach that accomplishes your green goals in connection with your event objectives.
